Ystäväni on opettaja, reilu sellainen. Jollain kummalla tavalla hänen kynäpenaalinsa hävisi lukuvuoden aikana. Hän on tehnyt kovasti töitä tämän kouluvuoden aikana ja päättyneen viikon aikana hän on antanut arvosanoja oppilailleen, koska kouluvuosi on päättymässä. Hän oli hiukan huolissaan uutena opettajana siitä, että oppilaat eivät olisi tyytyväisiä arvosanoihin ja oli surullinen penaalin katoamisesta, koska oli hankkinut sen asuessaan ulkomailla. Niinpä ompelin hänelle uuden penaalin muistuttamaan häntä hyveestä, jota kaikilla ei ole. Reiluus on joskus ikävää, mutta ainakin se on oikeudenmukaista!

My friend is a teacher - a fair teacher, I must add. Somehow her pencil case got lost past semester. She's been working really hard this year and this week she's been giving marks for the students as it is the end of the school year. She was worried that the students weren't going to be happy with the marks and was sad about losing her pencil case, which was a special one from a time spent overseas. So what better gift to sew her than a fair trade pencil case to remind her of her virtue. Sometimes it sucks being fair. So here's to you, C, and all the teachers in the world who think that their students need to get the mark they deserve based on their learning and not on their opinion about their teacher! Thanks for doing what you do!
