Aivan tyystin en ole unohtanut uusienkaan kankaiden käyttöä. Vaelluskamppeita varten tilasin Shelbystä tuulenpitävää mustaa fleeceä lakkiin ja nopeasti kuivuvaa fleecen tyyppistä, ohutta punaista kangasta "hikipaitaa" varten.
Having no inspiration to sew, I've been doing some designing and brainstorming in my mind. I've got a good collection of beautiful second-hand fabrics and some old sweaters which I washed in high temperature to get felted. I also orderd some new technical fabrics to renew my hiking wardrobe.
Using old sheets from both grandmas' stores (which dad had taken to his storage to clean dirty paint brushes!!), second-hand sheets and second-hand skirt I made this jacket for myself:
The first time I made something new from used material was this project. I found dreadful pants of silver fabric for two euros only. I knew immediately that they were about to become something else. Using an old sewing machine (the one with no electricity) I made this skirt for myself:

Some time ago I got into collecting old sheets, shirts, sweaters etc. in second hand shops. My inspiration has been a cute book 'Juju' by Mari Savio and Kati Rapia. Here's a little kimono shirt I made with the instructions in Juju:
